Robert Lucy is a painter based in Woodstock, New York, who has been making animal portraits since 2012. He holds a BFA and MFA in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work began when friends and clients asked him to paint their pets, and it quickly became a full-time focus.
Robert paints dogs, cats, horses, and other animals, always aiming to capture their personality and presence with care and clarity. He works from photographs and brings years of experience — and a deep love of animals — to each portrait.
